New FSW Women’s Champion Crowned And A Former Champion Returns

Women’s Action From FSW

The Future Stars of Wrestling Women's Title had been vacant since March when the former champion Sandra Moone announced on her social media that she no longer wanted to work with the company. She willingly relinquished the championship.

FSW held their High Octane: Collision Course show at FSW Arena in Las Vegas on 8/6/22. The main event was a women's title match to decide a new champion. Viva Van already declared herself the #1 con. after defeating Rachelle Riveter on the 7/22/22 event. They did a 3-Way Match earlier in the night on this August show to determine who would face Van for the title.

Alice Blair defeated Lilith Grimm and Rachelle Riveter in the 3-Way Match by pinning Grimm after a neck breaker.

Viva Van defeated Alice Blair to win the vacant FSW Women's Title and become the 6th woman to hold it. As Van was walking back to the locker room area, former women's champion Mazzerati rushed out and attacked her from behind and left her laying.

Mazzerati has been away from FSW for several months because of working several other indies around the nation and taking time off to rest at times from nagging injuries. She defeated Lacy Ryan (who is now Zoey Stark in NXT 2.0) for the FSW Women's Title in November 2020. She lost it to Sandra Moone in a Doors, Ladders, and Chairs Match on 8/22/21.
